An enemy of the King, a friend of his people.
The King is a cold-blooded leader who's willing to do anything to lay his hand on the amulet. Including slaying his own people. I was sent by his people to search the amulet because they knew if the King found it first, they would be in a world of agony. On my quest, I was frequently chased down by his knights but I was protected by his people. It's not because they admired me for who I am but it's because of the amulet.
The amulet gives its master an unimaginable power. A power so magnificient, it can turn the world into an apocalypse ground. It have been sealed within the depths of darkness.
I moved from village to village until I'm able to leave this kingdom and start my quest. The King had begin his search far earlier than me but he failed. Now he knew that I have the answer to it. He sent his troops to each village in search of me. I have to avoid from been caught, and continue my search.
His men failed to catch me, until I reached the border between the Kingdom and the Outpost, a free land... There, the King's Elite Knights; 8 knights with their own title and skills, were all ready for me. On my way out of the Kingdom, they and some other lower knights tried their best to catch me. I was able to trick and avoid them, and stepped out of the Kingdom. They were still chasing after me, but the villagers tried their best to hold them back. I stole one of the knight's horses and ran away on it.
It took a while for the horse to get along with me. It tried to make me fell down all the way until we reached the Flaming Shrine, the first stop of this quest. Here, I'd have to convince an old friend of mine to join me in this quest, for he has the skill of scouting. I tied the horse outside and stepped into his shrine.
"So? What now?" he asked, "You need my help seeking something?"
"Of course, Hii," I replied. "Why else would I come here for?"
"So what is it you're seeking?"
"An amulet."
"An amulet?" he laughs. "And I thought you don't like this kind of stuff."
"Not a regular amulet, The Amulet."
"I see," he was silenced for a moment. "But why do you need it?"
"It is not I who need it, it is for the sake of the people in the Kingdom. I need to get The Amulet before the King does or they all will suffer..."
"But, you do know that we'll need her help to cross the Dark Forest, right?"
Just before I was able to answer it, we heard a herd of horses charging towards the shrine. He said, "Go! I'll meet you on the Daihino Mountain." I rushed out, untied the horse and ran away from the shrine on it. I was able to see all eight of the King's Elite Knights coming after me. I stopped near a green, thick, forest, left the horse and ran into the forest. The knights did the same thing and walked on foot into the forest to find me.
